TRAINERS PILOT PROGRAM-Orientation Meeting

This afternoon we were blessed with a visit from 2 Salt Lake City mission Brethren. Brothers Kelly Mills and Mark Ware from the MTC and missionary department came and introduced a new program that we are participating in as a pilot program. This is a program for Trainers and Trainees for the first 12 weeks that the new missionaries are in the field. It involves an extra hour of companion study each day. (totaling 3 hours of study) And it covers the 8 fundamental lessons, the 5 lessons from PMG chapter 3 which are taught to the investigators and all of the chapters from Preach My Gospel except 2,6,and 7. It is all organized so you are teaching topics in logical combinations and sequence and is focused on helping the new missionaries become prepared more quickly. Pres Albright chose 15 of the finest, brightest, most diligent and exactly obedient missionaries to be our trainers for the new group arriving tomorrow. We are excited to try this program and our trainers are committed to making it successful. 15 new trainers.
