We had a lovely holiday. President Albright got up bright and early and went to Burke Lake for a long bike ride with President Erickson. He had a great time. Exhausted, but fun.
Then we went back to Burke Lake Park for a Burke Ward (our local ward) party during lunch time. It was a beautiful day. Kind of hot, but not too humid. That is the important part.
We had a lot of fun visiting with nice members of the ward. We are kind of filling the ward up with missionaries. There are Pres and I, Pres and Sis Erickson-(Mark's counselor), Elder and Sister Doyle- the new office Sr couple who we just love, the office elders live in the ward and sister missionaries are assigned to the ward also. So there are 10 of us.
In the evening we went to dinner with the Ericksons and they treated us to Outback. Pretty sweet. We went back to their place, watched the concert and fireworks at the capital. I love the patriotic music. So thankful I live in America.
The pavillion where the party was held
You can see the lake through the trees. It is beautiful. You can use electric boats only-no gas. and there are bikes and walking paths, camping, lots of playgrounds, minitures golf, and frisbee courses and lots of childrens playgrounds. It is a wonderful park.
