THE RUSK FAMILY VISIT

Our Elder Rusk is leaving this coming transfer. He is one of our wonderful elders we have grown attached to. This is because only 3 days after we arrived in the field, he broke his ankle (very severely). The first time we met him was in the hospital. He looked up and said, "I don't want to go home" What a great young man. We tried to keep him, but the damage was so bad he had to go home and get plates, pins, and screws. It only took him 6 weeks after surgery to walk the required 5 miles to come back. He worked sooo hard. And he has been a great Elder. Now he will be heading home all the way to Oregon. His family drove all across the country to pick him up. They came to the office and had lunch with us and we got to visit and get to know them. It was great fun.
