JAMESTOWN, VA APRIL 7, 2011

We took a little side trip and visited Jamestown. What an amazing adventure. This is where the first English settlement was in America. They have rebuilt the settlement just as it was in 1607. The museum and all of the structures and re enactments are so amazing.

The story of Jamestown is inspiring and tragic. They have built a 3-sided fort with house with mud walls, they have built 3 ships just like the ones that came to America. There are actors and guides that re-enact the events and tell you all about what happened in Jamestown. I love history and so this was a marvelous place to visit.
