His family moved to Japan from Chicago while he was serving his mission. So he is returning to someplace unfamiliar, but will head to BYUI in a couple of weeks. Because of Zone Trainings in the morning, we told him farewell at the mission home.

ELDER STAPLES DEPARTS FOR JAPAN
Our wonderful Elder Staples departed on Dec 20, 2011. Elder Staples is one of our Spanish speaking missionaries. He is one of the kindest, most genuine and sincere people I have ever met. When I was around him, I felt like he and His Savior were friends. His spirituality was very sincere and could be felt by those around him. He genuinely cared about others.
