EVERY SOUL IS PRECIOUS, EVERY MINUTE COUNTS

President,

Right before we left our last lesson of the evening, it started to rain... and when it rains here I mean it RAINS! It pours! So we got in our car and started driving away at 8:45 p.m. We drove a couple of blocks away and I parked the car on the side of the road to figure out what to do for the last 15 minutes of the night. Elder Carnline and I talked about the Zone and how the companionships are doing. I looked out the car window and what did I see? A house! (Not an apricot tree! Ha Ha) just an average house. I mentioned to Elder Carnline that we should go knock on it to wrap up the evening before we went back home. We got out and knocked on it and a lady answered.  Her name is Lauren. We started up a nice conversation and had some small talk. She then came outside on the porch and she asked us if we had any scriptures she could read because her boyfriend had called earlier that day and basically broken up with her. She started crying to us on the porch.  We gave her a Book of Mormon and asked her to read Alma 7 and Moroni 7. Anyways, she recognized that we were sent to her house at the right time for a reason. We said a prayer with her at the end of our brief message and even more tears came streaming down her face. What would have happened if we had just driven home at 8:50 instead of 9 because it was raining? Every minute of the day is so precious. Every soul is precious. God really blessed us.

Elder Norris
